DebbyNurse Consultant in Gynaecology outpatients at a major NHS hospital
I am currently a Nurse Consultant in Gynaecology outpatients at Guy’s and St Thomas Trust, working full time. I have worked in gynaecology since qualifying. I work in the specialist menopause clinic which I co-lead with 2 medical consultants and the procedure clinic, undertaking hysteroscopy. I have wide experience in women’s health.
I have written many articles and given many talks to various audiences on women’s health. I am currently working with the occupational health department for women in the Trust with menopause and undertake a support group for women with breast cancer and menopause symptoms,
I am the deputy module lead for the gynaecology nursing course at Kings College London.
As Chair of the Royal College of Nursing women’s health forum, I am involved in many projects, one of which is a guide for menopause for nurses and the nurse specialist guide. I have fellowships from the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (2016) and the Royal College of Nursing (2017).
