Teresa

Specialist menopause practitioner. Teaches menopause health to student nurses.

About me

I work part time in General Practice and for the GP Out of Hours Service.
I trained at UCH in London and have had a variety of jobs both in the UK and abroad. I have always had a special interest in women’s health and worked for many years as a contraceptive and sexual health nurse in General practice.

In 2009 I did the British Menopause Society certified menopause foundation course. I teach menopause health to post-graduate student nurses at Plymouth university and also deliver educational sessions for local Practice nurses.

In January 2019 I became recognised as a menopause specialist nurse by the British Menopause Society of which I am a member.

I live with my husband in the south west and have three grown up children and one new grandchild.

The initial consultation lasts 45 minutes. I will take a personal history and discuss specific symptoms. I will talk about what is normal during menopause, answer any questions and talk through the range of treatment options, both lifestyle-based and pharmaceutical.

All appointments are conducted on the phone, so you won't need to travel. You can select a day and time that suits you.

Following the appointment, I will send you a personalised post-appointment report and a resources pack.

Follow-up phone consultation

I will discuss your recent experiences since we had the initial consultation to help to keep your treatment plan on track.
