Specialist menopause practitioner. Teaches menopause health to student nurses.

About me

I work part time in General Practice and for the GP Out of Hours Service.

I trained at UCH in London and have had a variety of jobs both in the UK and abroad. I have always had a special interest in women’s health and worked for many years as a contraceptive and sexual health nurse in General practice.

In 2009 I did the British Menopause Society certified menopause foundation course. I followed this up with training which enabled me to prescribe menopause medication and
since then I have been able to consult with and help women going through the menopause. I teach menopause health to post-graduate student nurses at Plymouth university and also deliver educational sessions for local Practice nurses.

In January 2019 I became recognised as a menopause specialist nurse by the British Menopause Society of which I am a member.

I live with my husband in the south west and have three grown up children and one new grandchild.
