    Peppy is the leading health app that connects you to real, human experts who provide gender-specific care and support for men’s, women’s and LGBTQI+ health.

    These areas often fall through the cracks of healthcare. But with the help of highly trained providers who deliver their expertise with passion and empathy, you’ll get the answers you need to take control of your health.

  • Why does Peppy exist?

    We want to improve your life by making it easy to get the specialized health support you deserve. 

    Unfortunately, people often struggle silently with their health problems. Unanswered questions gnaw at them, and small, untreated issues balloon into serious concerns. 

    This can affect every aspect of your life — from your relationships to your work performance. 

    Peppy’s here to help fill the gaps in healthcare. We give employers the power to support their whole workforce with personalized, expert health support.

Registration and usage

  • Who can use Peppy?

    Peppy is accessible to employees through their employers. If you don’t currently have access, talk to your HR representative or benefits manager.

  • How do I get started with Peppy?

    Step 1: Search for “Peppy Health” in the App Store or Google Play store. 

    Step 2: Download and open the app. 

    Step 3: Enter your first name and register with your work email address. (Your work email will only be used to verify your eligibility to access Peppy.) If you don’t have a work email address, click “Register another way” and submit your access code. 

    Step 4: Enter your personal email address and confidential chat username. For privacy reasons, your personal email address will be used for communications that go beyond the in-app chat function.

    Step 5: Create a secure password and accept the terms and conditions. 

    Step 6: Complete a brief introduction questionnaire. This will help us provide you with relevant content, and it will help our team of health experts understand how they can best support you.

  • Is Peppy free?

    Peppy is paid for by your employer, so it’s free for you to use. 

    For those based in the U.S. with access to our premium services, you also have access to one-on-one chats and virtual consultations with Peppy’s specialized health experts. 

  • How do I know my information is confidential and won't be shared with my employer?

    Peppy takes data protection and privacy extremely seriously and goes to great lengths to ensure we provide a safe, secure, and trusted service. 

    To meet that goal, your data is encrypted at all times using the highest industry standards. Our ISO 27001 certified InfoSec program and environment are HIPAA compliant and align with the SOC 2 trust principles of security, confidentiality, integrity, availability, and privacy. 

    Furthermore, we operate by the principle of “least privilege” to ensure your information stays between you and your clinical team. These are just a few examples of our dedication to continually strengthening security and protecting your data.

    Rest assured, we will never share your personal data or registration information with your employer. And to ensure confidentiality in group events, we encourage you to choose a non-personal username at registration.

  • Can I continue to use Peppy if I leave my company?

    Peppy is only available through your employer. If you leave, it isn’t possible to continue using the service, and your access will be removed.

  • How do I register if I don't have a work email address?

    Your employer will provide you with an access code. To use it, select “My employer provides Peppy” during registration, and when asked for your work email address, select “Register another way.”

  • If I opt-in to group chat or attend events, will I be put in a group with other people from my company and will they know it's me?

    You may be placed in a group chat with your colleagues, but we try to avoid this.

    In all of our peer-to-peer sessions, you appear with the username you choose. To increase privacy, you should set that to be something people won’t associate with you.

    You also have the option to keep your video switched off if you do not want anyone to see you.

  • What time can I use the chat?

    You can send a chat message 24/7. Our human, expert providers are online to respond at the following times:

    9 am – 9 pm EST

  • What if I sign up to an event in the app but am unable to attend?

    Due to the sensitive nature of the topics and the interactive element of these broadcasts, they cannot be recorded. However, we hold events every week, many of which are recurring. If you can’t make it, hopefully, you’ll be able to attend the next one. 

    In the meantime, you can find resources on many of the topics discussed in the articles and videos within the app.

     

  • How often is the app updated?

    The app is continually updated, with new content added weekly.

  • What do I need to use the app?

    You need a smartphone so you can download the Peppy app from the App Store or Google Play. You also need access to the internet in order to use the app and access all the support available.

  • How long is a virtual consultation?

    Unlike the typical 10- or 15-minute appointments you may be used to with a general practitioner, consultations with Peppy’s providers last up to 40 minutes.

  • How do I switch between services if my circumstances change?

    Step 1: On the Peppy app homepage, select the Settings button in the top right of the screen. 

    Step 2: Now that you are on the Settings page, scroll down to see the option to “Choose vertical.”

    Step 3: Select the vertical you wish to change to. When prompted, confirm that you do indeed wish to change to this vertical. 

    Step 4: Once confirmed, you will begin the registration process for the new vertical. Please complete the onboarding questions in one go, so we have what we need to set you up with a private chat with a provider.

    Step 5: Once completed, you’ll also have access to articles and videos, live events, and consultations from your chosen service. Just let your providers know you’re interested and they can help get you set up.

  • Who am I talking to on the Peppy app?

    When you use Peppy’s one-on-one chat or virtual consultation services, you’re connecting to a real, human expert. Our providers are specialized in the health areas we serve, and they’re passionate about supporting you, whatever you’re facing.

  • Will I always talk to the same person?

    Not always. But while you may talk to different providers, there is a streamlined handover process that ensures your care is seamless. 

    Your new provider will have access to your conversation history, so they will be able to pick up exactly where you left off in your previous conversation.

  • What are the qualifications of the Peppy practitioners?

    All Peppy providers are accredited by their relevant professional bodies and have a minimum of five years of experience in their discipline.
