Dr. Corrado Altomare MD FACOG NCMP

Dr. Corrado Altomare has been a Fellow of ACOG since 1988 and was one of the first members of the North American Menopause Society (NAMS) since its inception in 1989. He has an undergraduate degree in Zoology (1973) and received his medical degree from the University of Genoa, Italy in 1980. Upon completion of residency training as an OB/GYN, he started a practice in Hunterdon County, NJ, where he developed a Menopause Clinic. He was also the Chairman of the Dept. OB/GYN at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington NJ. He joined Wyeth/Pfizer as a Senior Medical Director in Women’s Health in 2005. His last role before retirement in May 2020, was that of VP of Medical Affairs at Shionogi Inc, where he helped launch several new products, including a Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator (SERM) for the treatment of vulvovaginal changes related to menopause. He has authored over 20 publications related to the treatment of menopausal symptoms, and along with Medicine, he has a passion for family, cooking, theology, travel, and archaeology.
